GEDfest 2024: An Unforgettable Year of Giving Back and Celebrating Gord Downie’s Legacy!

GEDheads, we set our sights BIG in 2024! This year, we embarked on a remarkable journey, expanding GEDfest to create unforgettable nights across Calgary, Edmonton, and Kelowna. In each city, we honored the memory of Gord Downie and celebrated the music of The Tragically Hip, all while rallying to raise $200,000 for local cancer charities.

This expansion marks a significant milestone for GEDfest, uniting new communities through the power of live music and charity. Together, we achieved something truly special.

With your incredible support, we are proud to announce:

  • $161,000 donated to the Alberta Cancer Foundation (with $150K from Calgary and $11K from Edmonton)

  • $25,000 donated to Kelowna General Hospital

  • $11,000 donated to the Ben Stelter Foundation

In total, we raised just shy of $200,000! Thank you to everyone who joined us on this journey. Your generosity and passion for the cause continue to make a profound impact! Here's to more unforgettable nights and life-changing moments in 2025!
