GEDfest celebrates the life of Gordon Edgar Downie, and the music of the Tragically Hip. Gord Downie continues to be a poetic and musical inspiration to the world. At the root of everything he did, Gord Downie embodied courage. We honour Gord by revisiting his powerful words that continue to lend courage to those who need it most.

GEDfest's mission is to honour Gord Downie's life and the music of the Tragically Hip, while also giving back to the community through the power of live music and charity. ​To date, GEDfest has raised nearly $270,000 for cancer foundations in Canada.

GEDfest is growing in 2024! We are thrilled to announce that we are expanding our reach with new events in Kelowna and Edmonton. This expansion marks a significant milestone for GEDfest as we continue to bring communities together through the power of music and raise funds for a cause close to our hearts. We can't wait to see you there and share in the spirit of GEDfest as we expand our mission to new communities and collectively raise $250,000 in support of cancer research.
